As a father of two young kids, I see 99% of the computer animated films that Hollywood churns out. But this short piece, by visual artist Alex Roman, stopped me in my tracks. From the first frame I was mesmerized by his beautiful lighting, cinematic depth of field, and poetic imagery. The fact that it's all CG adds another unbelievable layer to it. Let me repeat that in case you weren't paying attention: every frame of what you're looking at was created on a computer. No lenses, no dollies, no craft services tables.
So turn off your marketing mind, sit back and soak up the CG goodness. If you can hold on until the last minute or so, the Magritte-like surrealism will amaze you.

Completely, utterly, astoundingly amazing. I hear your words, and I'll even believe you that this is 100% CG (because you never lie). But I have to say: Without a moment's hesitation, I would have been willing to bet my life that these were real images before I saw this post.

That was incredible. It was somehow both relaxing and invigorating to watch/ listen to. The subtle shift
in the captured objects depth of field in addition to such lyrical lighting seemed very dream-like......I was traveling through the mind of a sleeping photographer.
