Somewhere in Norm Magnusson's family tree I would expect to find the Darwins on one side, and a clan of artists on the other. This might partly explain the quirky and botanically charming series of images that make up his latest project. I find these nature paintings cheerful and childlike, while the captions lend a pseudo-scientific air. It reminds me of something that one of my favorite artists, Andy Goldsworthy, might attempt (after a few pints of Guinness).
