Brand66

Just what the world needs: another blog from another self-important design guru. Brand66 is a design discussion presented by — me, Michael Rylander. Over the years, I've been lucky enough to work on some the world's great brands, like Apple, Sony, BMW, Fortune, and American Express.

Crash art

As much as I like Skype, it seems to be getting buggier and buggier with each update. The lastest version I’ve been using — 5.4.0.1771 for Mac — has problems with echos, dropped calls, and a hard to understand user interface. And just today, it began to crash.

But all is not lost. In a move that would make the MOMA proud, Skype’s “Share screen” window has been displaying some staggerinly beautiful messes. Perhaps they should sell off the internet business and get into fine art.
