I’m not sure if Jiri Geller is an angry young Finn, or just a talented sculptor with a knack for pushing our hot buttons, but I admire his work. Like an anarchist who has studied every stitch and fold of a banker’s suit, Jiri models and subverts the iconic forms of contemporary culture with vengeful precision. Defining himself as “an outsider, a punk rocker,” Geller’s work is masterfully executed, and goes for the jugular. Pessimistic yet playful.
